Ore Energy
Ore Energy is an innovative player in the energy transition, specialising in large-scale, long-duration energy storage. The company develops an iron-air battery: a battery that stores energy using iron, air and water instead of scarce and often toxic materials such as lithium and cobalt. This technology makes it possible to store renewable energy from solar and wind reliably and affordably for later use, contributing to a more stable and sustainable energy system. Hezelburcht has been working very successfully with Ore Energy for several years now. Thanks to Ore Energy’s highly innovative projects, which contribute to a more sustainable world, and Hezelburcht’s expertise in the field of grants, a fruitful partnership has developed. Together, we make the most of numerous national and European funding opportunities to drive further growth and impact.
Scientific breakthrough
Ore Energy is developing the next generation of long-term energy storage to enable a fully renewable energy system. The result is a battery that is safe, cost-effective (at 10% of the cost of lithium), scalable and not dependent on scarce materials. A scientific breakthrough!
However, the development of iron-air batteries is hindered by high costs and poor rechargeability and efficiency. Ore Energy is continuously working on further development, demonstration, implementation and scale-up of its batteries.
No funding opportunity left unused thanks to a strong grant strategy
Energy storage and sustainability are hot topics in the funding landscape. Ore Energy’s projects and activities naturally qualify for a variety of funding opportunities. Hezelburcht’s specialists have already successfully supported Ore Energy with numerous national and European grants. Some examples include: WBSO, Kansen Voor West, Demonstration Energy and Climate Innovation (DEI+), TSE Industry Studies, Horizon Europe and Eurostars.
We are proud of this partnership and look forward to all the successes yet to come!
