Are you working on the development of cutting-edge clean hydrogen technologies? Apply for funding from Clean Hydrogen Partnership! Clean Hydrogen Partnership is a public-private partnership supporting research and innovation in hydrogen technologies. The calls for proposals are open for applications from 20 January 2026 to 15 April 2026 with a budget of € 105 million.
What projects are eligible for funding?
Funding is be available to help boost renewable hydrogen production, reduce its costs, develop its storage and distribution solutions, and stimulate the use of low carbon hydrogen in hard to abate sectors. The call also continues to help stimulating the deployment of “hydrogen valleys” across Europe; complex projects that cover the entire hydrogen value chain in a specific region, scaling-up hydrogen deployment and creating interconnected hydrogen ecosystems across Europe.
The 2026 call has different topics within different categories, each with its own budget. Applications can be submitted within the following categories:
- Renewable Hydrogen Production (€ 16M budget)
- Hydrogen Storage and Distribution (€ 17.5M budget)
- Transport (€ 25M budget)
- Heat and Power (€ 16M budget)
- Cross-cutting (€ 5.5M budget)
- Hydrogen Valleys (€ 25M budget)
What is the Clean Hydrogen Partnership?
Clean Hydrogen Partnership is a public-private partnership supporting research and innovation projects in Europe. The aim of this initiative is to make Europe more sustainable through clean hydrogen technologies. Clean Hydrogen Partnership is the successor to Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking.
