Successful CEF AFIF call for Hezelburcht: securing over € 95 million in funding
CINEA has announced that more than € 600 million in funding has been awarded through CEF AFIF, part of the CEF Transport programme, to projects focused on the electrification and decarbonisation of road, maritime, inland waterway and air transport along the TEN-T Core Network. This substantial investment contributes to a more efficient and sustainable transport system across Europe. It also marks a significant achievement for Hezelburcht: our specialists successfully secured nearly one-sixth of this total amount on behalf of our clients. A remarkable result for both our clients and Hezelburcht.
CEF AFIF projects
A total of 70 projects across 24 EU countries have been selected, together receiving € 600 million in funding. All projects aim to strengthen infrastructure for alternative fuels, such as electric charging facilities, hydrogen refuelling stations and shore power systems. This programme represents a major step towards a cleaner and future-proof European transport network.
The funding contributes to the development of:
- 1,000 electric charging points for light-duty vehicles
- 2,000 charging points for heavy-duty vehicles
- Electrification of ground-handling services at 16 European airports
- 38 new hydrogen refuelling stations for cars, lorries and buses
- 24 seaports benefiting from shore-side electricity
A successful CEF AFIF round for Hezelburcht
The programme results were also highly successful for our team. Our specialists submitted six applications, of which five were awarded. An approval rate of more than 80%. In total, these applications accounted for over € 95 million in funding, representing a large part of the entire awarded budget. A fantastic outcome for our clients, which we are proud of!
