Eurostars Call 12 opens on 17 December 2026 for international SME collaborations

Innovative SMEs working together with international partners on the development of new products, processes or services can soon begin preparing for Eurostars Call 12. The new call opens on 17 December 2026 and closes on 4 March 2027. Eurostars Call 11 is also currently open for applications and will remain open until 10 September 2026.

Which projects are eligible for Eurostars Call 12?

The Eurostars programme supports market-oriented R&D projects carried out by international consortia. The programme is specifically aimed at innovative SMEs that play a leading role in the development of new technologies and innovations.

Participating countries each make their own budget available. The following countries have not allocated a budget: Cyprus, Italy and Israel. SMEs from these countries may therefore participate in a consortium, but only using their own funding.

Who can apply for Eurostars funding?

To be eligible for Eurostars, a consortium must meet several international requirements, including:

  • The consortium is led by an SME from a Eurostars country;
  • The consortium consists of at least two independent organisations from at least two different Eurostars countries;
  • At least 50% of the project budget is covered by SMEs, with no more than 70% of the total project budget covered by a single partner.

How does the Eurostars application process work?

The application procedure consists of two steps. First, the consortium submits a joint project application to the Eureka Secretariat. Only projects that receive a positive international evaluation are invited to subsequently submit a national funding application to the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
