Juan Mejia, MSc
Juan studied Medicinal Chemistry at Radboud University, where drug design and drug discovery were central to his programme. During his research internships at various academic laboratories and pharmaceutical companies, he gained experience in developing new molecules for applications within the life sciences. In September 2026 he joined our Chemistry & Innovation team in Nijmegen.
The way in which chemistry can contribute to solutions for societal challenges, particularly the development of new medicines, has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. With my scientific background, I enjoy exploring the technical core of clients’ projects in order to arrive at a well-substantiated grant application.
In my free time I play guitar, play hockey and enjoy reading. I also regularly go hiking with friends.
