Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions
The Horizon 2020 Horizon 2020 is the biggest European funding programme for research and innovation and has been designed to support research institutions, (local) governments, companies and individual researchers. The programme has a budget of € 80 billion until 2020.. grant programme Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) provides grants for all stages of researchers’ careers and encourage transnational, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility.
The MSCA will return under the new Horizon Europe programme. Although the programme has yet to be finalized and published, there are some changes to expect. Read more here.
For whom is MSCA?
MSCA aims to equip researchers with the necessary skills and international experience for a successful career, either in the public or the private sector. The grant programme responds to challenges sometimes faced by researchers, offering them attractive working conditions and the opportunity to move between academic and other settings. The MSCA calls are open to all domains of research & innovation, from fundamental research to market take-up and innovation services. Research and innovation fields are chosen freely by the applicants in a fully ‘bottom-up’ manner.

- Postdoctoral Fellowships (previously known as the Individual Fellowships);
- Staff Exchange (previously known as the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange);
- Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND);
- European Researchers’ Night.
